Job Description – Pharmacist
Location: Muscat, Oman
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Omani National Pharmacist to manage the operations of our drug store in Muscat. The role involves overseeing inventory, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and maintaining the highest quality standards for all pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor stock levels of medications, ensuring proper storage conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.).
Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to maintain accurate records.
Oversee safe disposal of expired or damaged medications in compliance with Oman regulations.
Verify the quality and authenticity of received drugs and ensure adherence to Ministry of Health (MOH), Oman guidelines.
Maintain complete documentation including invoices, batch details, and supplier records.
Ensure compliance with licensing, controlled substance handling, and local drug laws.
Perform quality checks on pharmaceutical supplies to meet safety and regulatory standards.
Inspect and maintain storage facilities in line with Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
Prepare documentation for inspections by MOH or other regulatory authorities.
Analyze stock usage trends and provide input on procurement planning.
Implement safety protocols for handling high-risk and hazardous medications.
Qualifications
Nationality: Omani Nationals only.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (BPharm).
Licensing: Must hold (or be eligible for) a valid Pharmacist license from the Oman Ministry of Health.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with pharmacy inventory management software is an advantage.
